A playground for wildlife
One of the most expansive spaces we’ve worked on, across two summers, started with the removal of two dead trees, opening up a huge space which needed fresh definition. We used the introduction of a new boundary wall to bring structure, centring the new planting around a much-loved tree and creating a mini-orchard area and wildflower meadow to ensure its pollination. Partnering with specialist electricians we built in smart-lighting to artfully illuminate access and socialising spaces and to bring dramatic definition to zones.

Extensive larch decking wraps around the home and creates a flexible space for entertaining, with screening for privacy.

Wildflower meadow turf brings easy colour and life to a swathe of this large garden, supporting the pollinators that the fruit trees depend on.

Berry-laden trees will support the birdlife our clients are keen to attract and add height to newly-cleared planting areas.

Raised sleeper beds hold dramatic planting and fast-growing bamboo, for structure and seclusion.

Dark trellis screen the fruit trees from a parking area and gives a dark dramatic backdrop to bright foliage.
