Effortlessly elegant
One of our favourites for transformation…this Nether Edge reinvention began with the removal of an obsolete garage space, opening up a wraparound garden with real flow. The clients were true plant lovers and wanted an outdoor space in a constant state of change and growth, so we packed this full of elegant raised beds and colourful planting, from evergreen ground cover to shimmering birches. Taller planting creates a natural screen to a secluded dining area, and a pond reflects surrounding trees and plants, adding height, and creating a whole new daydream from the kitchen window. Indian sandstone paving brings warm rust and mustard tones and running from back garden to the front driveway, where we designed-in a natural run-off and planting to lap up the rainwater.
With wide, elegant raised beds, everywhere is a place to perch and enjoy.
The raised pond reflects surrounding growth and burst of colour as well as sustaining wildlife.
Indian sandstone brings warm colours that change tone, bringing a natural, organic edge to the structured elements of the garden.
A newly opened side-space allows for flow, where planting runs seamlessly from front through to back garden.
